Back from California with the head full of images! the Terrible Yellow Eyes night at Gallery Nucleus was so perfect, thanks to everyone at Nucleus!

I had a great time in L.A. and so happy to have met such a lovely guys such as Cory & Erin Godbey, Ben Zhu, Wade Buchanan, Richard Pose, Israel Sanchez, Chad Frye, Josh Pruett, Aurian Redson, Eren Blanquet, Jason Caffoe, Kadzu Kibuishi, Brittney Lee, Matt Silver and many others...

As far as I can remenber I've always loved skeletons. I think it started with the Ray Harryhausen's skeletons scene in Jason and the argonauts, the Disney's "the skeletons dance", and the traditional image of the Death as in "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" from Terry Gilliam.
But my favorite skeletons and skulls are from JVC Vernon Courtland Johnson with the Ripper logo for Powell Peralta and all his fantastic work for them.

In October 2009 The movie based on Maurice Sendak’s classic story Where The Wild Things Are will hit movie theaters worldwide. The film represents years of work from hundreds of different artists, writers, photographers, musicians, actors, and creators of all degrees. This place has been established to help shed some light on many of the small influences that have converged to make this massive project a reality.

Personal Spike Jonze site "We love you so" is a place to learn about things are great to share with you the things those things helped make. Wild Things indeed… And also probably a lot of other randoms things that catch our eye along the way and I'm so proud to have my Max featured in!

Burton's new Frankenweenie for 2009!

Director Tim Burton will begin shooting a full-length version of Frankenweenie, the short film he made in 1984 while working for Disney. Burton will produce and direct Frankenweenie, the Frankenstein-inspired story of a boy (victor Frankenstein) who brings his beloved dog (Sparky) back from the dead, as a stop-motion-animation film.

"We're going to do that real low-budget," Burton said in an interview "The thing that excites me about it and that will make it different is that when I look at my original drawings, there are certain things that are in those that I couldn't get in the live action when I made the film. So I'm quite excited to try to get a certain emotion and other characters in the new version, and I want to make it a slightly bigger story."
